Kentucky-based Brown Forman Corp. acquired super-premium black raspberry liqueur brand Chambord and related assets for $255 million in cash from Charles Jacquin et Cie Inc.

Brown Forman, a leading spirits producer and marketer best known for its Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey, sought to tap into the burgeoning market for sweeter cocktail spirits. In its 25-year history, Chambord has experienced steady growth and established a unique place in the U.S. on-trade liquor market.

Michel Dyens & Co. acted as the exclusive advisor to Chambord.
